Harlem beach, bead of Nirvana in Jayapura

Tablanusu villages in the District Depapre, Jayapura regency, Papua, representing almost a perfect coastal village. Beautiful, quiet, green, full of flowers, was remarkably clean. However, I and several other journalists who visited the village on Thursday (6/21/2012) and feel there is one less thing. There was no white sand beaches here.

Tablanusu is a village filled with small stones smooth oval pan. Not only replace the function of asphalt, stone is also spread across the stretch of beach.
"Then we'll coast to Harlem!" Maria Mayabubun chirps, Section Head of Maluku and Papua Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf). He swiftly went to local residents asking rental rates for ships.
Apparently not Harlem Beach is within reach on foot, or other land vehicles such as mini bus we were traveling. We have to split the large bay directly facing the Pacific Ocean.
Ten-panasan people to stand in a fishing boat without a roof. Not too big waves, only the low edge of the ship make the sea water is often showered body and face. As a result, our bodies were wet even before setting foot on the beach Harlem.
Half an hour away and saw the figure of the beach. Stretches of white sand, contrasting with the green hills that become the background. Discoloration of sea water so younger, clearer, and the figure of colorful corals began to appear. There are purple, red, pink also. Universal shout, welcome to Harlem Coast!
No wonder this is called a remote beach. The only access that allows travelers to rent a fishing boat is like we did earlier. Via land routes can also be, that's if you want to split the hours trekking jungle on the hill behind it!
When the ship docked, seen a few local residents being splashed sea water into a vessel full of decorations. Apparently it was a new ship. Locals used to pray while a small celebration to welcome the new marine transportation so be it. They then board the ship and waved around. I joined waved to them, happy.
Harlem is essentially a coastal village. Population of no more than 50 people, with a width of less than 50 meters of the village. So small! The village is only limited to the eye. Only one dirt road and for your exploration from one end to another.
As the people of Papua in general, very friendly locals. Girls peeking shyly behind his back a man. Once approached, he was astonished to see us. He then fell asleep when I pick her up a bit, perhaps tired of their activities to the day it is.
There is a hut for a rest and a sturdy swing is used for adults. In addition along the white sandy beaches, the most enjoyable activities is reading a book open to the shade of coconut trees. Harlem is a speck of paradise beach in Papua, at least for me.
